Ukraine: Ministry of Internal Affairs Plans to Introduce Police Officer Position in Every Community This Year
On 18 August 2025, Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine presented a draft Government Action Programme outlining key areas of state policy for 2025–2026.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, took part in the presentation.
During the discussion panel, the Minister spoke about the work of the bodies and departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and security projects that are already successfully operating in communities.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to ensure that by the end of the year, every Ukrainian community, except for those directly adjacent to the front line, will have its police officer and community rescue officer.
This was announced by Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko during his speech at the presentation of the Government Action Programme.
‘Indeed, by the end of the year, we plan to provide all communities, except those directly close to the front line, where other police units are working, with community police officers. This is a necessity of the present time,’ he said.
